The Redisage C23 is a high-performance Serial Port Server designed for high-density applications. Powered by the 32-bit STM32F4 microcontroller, it offers 4 independent RS232 ports in a compact enclosure.
This device allows for a drastic reduction in wiring and cabinet space by replacing four separate converters with a single module. Port virtualization on a PC is made possible with the dedicated VirtualCOM software. Key parameters:
• High Density: 4x RS232 ports (Tx, Rx) in a single unit
• Architecture: STM32F4 microcontroller
• Power Supply: 12-30 VDC (low power consumption < 1 W)
• Operating Environment: -40°C to +75°C
• Operating Modes: Virtual COM, TCP Server/Client, UDP
• Configuration: Web Browser (built-in web server), Telnet, or Serial Console
The C23 Serial Device Server is the optimal solution for managing multiple RS232 devices from a centralized location over Ethernet. Instead of running four individual serial cables back to a computer, you can run a single Ethernet cable to the C23, which then breaks out into 4 independent RS232 ports locally.
This architecture drastically reduces cabling costs and improves system reliability. Each port operates independently and can be accessed simultaneously. The device supports Virtual COM technology (driver available here: SW01 Download), making the remote ports appear as native COM ports in your operating system (Windows/Linux), ensuring compatibility with legacy software.
Easy configuration via a built-in Web Server or Telnet allows administrators to quickly set up IP addresses and serial parameters (baud rate, parity, stop bits).
