The Redisage C24 allows you to connect up to 4 independent RS485 networks to a single Ethernet connection. This device acts as a transparent bridge, enabling SCADA systems or PLCs to communicate with distributed field devices over a LAN.
It supports the SW01 Virtual COM driver, allowing standard Windows software to access RS485 buses as local COM ports. Key features:
• Ports: 4x RS485 (2-wire A, B)
• Configuration: Web Browser, Telnet, or Serial Console
• Operating Modes: Virtual COM, TCP Server/Client, UDP
• Termination: Built-in 120 Ohm resistors (switchable)
• Mounting: Compact DIN-rail design
The C24 Serial Device Server is designed for industrial automation professionals who need to manage multiple RS485 networks efficiently. It provides 4 independent RS485 ports, allowing you to segment your field devices into smaller, more manageable subnets.
With the dedicated SW01 Virtual COM software, the C24 enables any computer on the network to access the RS485 buses as if they were local COM ports. This is particularly useful for SCADA systems, remote monitoring of energy meters, or controlling systems.
The device offers flexible configuration via a Web Browser interface, where you can set operating modes (TCP Server/Client, UDP) and network parameters.
Technical Specifications:Upgrade your serial infrastructure to Ethernet with the C24. Check the wiring diagrams in the user manual.
