About C05
C05 – Efficient Master for 60 Meters
The C05 M-Bus Master converter is a device designed to physically handle metering network segments comprising up to 60 standard slave devices. The device converts the M-Bus signal to a standard serial interface (RS232 or RS485), enabling direct connection to a PLC or PC.
A key element of the C05 design is the built-in voltage converter, which supplies the required power to the M-Bus line (36-42V). This allows the device to operate fully autonomously, eliminating the need for external bus power supplies. Additionally, the C05 model can work in Repeater mode, boosting the signal from an existing M-Bus network and allowing for further expansion.
System safety is guaranteed by 3-way 1000 VDC galvanic isolation, which separates the power supply, serial interface (RS232/485), and the M-Bus line. This prevents damage to expensive control equipment in the event of surges induced in long meter cables.
