R04 – Targeted RS232 Isolation
The R04 Separator offers a balanced solution for protecting RS232 interfaces. By placing the isolation barrier on the Output side, it allows you to electrically separate a specific peripheral (like a printer, barcode scanner, or sensor) from the main controller. This prevents noise and voltage spikes generated by the peripheral from damaging the sensitive ports of the PLC or computer.
The device is fully transparent to data protocols and supports full-duplex communication. It also acts as a signal booster, ensuring reliable data transmission even over extended cable lengths. The support for 24 VAC power supply simplifies installation in HVAC and building automation panels.
