The Redisage C13 is a cost-effective solution for converting RS232 signals to RS485. This model is non-isolated, meaning the RS232, RS485, and power grounds are connected. It is designed for applications where all devices share a common ground potential or for lab/desktop use.
Despite being the entry-level model, it maintains high build quality with ESD protection on data lines and automatic flow control. Key features:

About C13
C13 – Economical RS485 Extension
The C13 Converter provides a reliable method for connecting RS232 devices to an RS485 network at an affordable price point. As a non-isolated device, it is best suited for controlled environments where ground loops are not a concern (e.g., devices powered from the same DC source within a single cabinet).
It acts as a transparent physical layer bridge, allowing legacy RS232 hardware to communicate with multiple RS485 nodes (up to 32) over distances of up to 1200 meters. The device includes ESD protection on the RS485 lines to guard against static discharge during handling and installation.
